Los de Gears of War sacan pecho



Michael Capps, CEO de Epic Games, en declaraciones a GamesIndustry tras recoger 8 premios para Gears of War en los IAA, incluyendo Mejor Juego de Consola y Mejor Juego Absoluto. El señor Capps parecía especialmente contento de haber superado a Wii en la lista de premios. Seguro que Capcom y la gente que estaba en Clover tienen algo que decir referente a la valía de estos premios. Y yo también.

  1. pues a mi me parecen de lo mas correctos los premios, este año no ha habido ningún juego visualmente tan currado e impactante como GEARS OF WAR.

  2. Creo que Cristian se refiere a que para figurar en la lista de nominados, antes había que pagar. En vez de premiar al mejor juego, primero has de pagar una cuota de socio y después ya veremos. Eso es muy triste, y por eso estos premios, aunque Gears of War es un juegazo sin discusión alguna (sólo me quita el vicio el Shadow of the Colossus), no tienen el valor, por lo menos para mí, que tendrían que tener.

    Eso sí, no esperarás tampoco, Cristian, que el CEO diga que esos premios no son justos, por mucho que él seguramente sepa que si hubieran estado nominados otros juegos no hubiera ganado 8 premios ni de lejos. Aunque tengo que decir una cosa, no me parece bien que Capps se acuerde de Wii cuando le dan esos premios. Yo me acordaría del equipo que ha hecho posible que esté recogiendo esos premios, que le dejen Nintendo a los de Microsoft y Sony.

  3. Calvero y Xals: Como has dicho, Xals, mi tono crítico viene por lo de la cuota de inscripción a los premios, que parece ser que no es precisamente anecdótica (varios miles de euros).

    No es que esperara que el CEO renunciara a los premios por ésto, como en otros premios ha hecho gente como Buenafuente, más que nada porque pagar un pastón para después pasar de ellos sería totalmente incoherente.

    Pero vamos, que, como ya he dicho otras veces, los IAA me parecen un lastre de la industria y publicidad engañosa para el consumidor, que desconoce que no todos los juegos que han salido durante el año, como Pro Evolution Soccer 6 o Okami, o Resident Evil 4 el año pasado – son considerados para ellos.

    En el caso de Okami, creo que las siguientes categorías, como mínimo, hubieran podido caer de su lado, o por lo menos haberle puesto las cosas difíciles al ganador, si hubiera estado considerado a nominación:

  4. DEFINITIVAMENTE ES EL MEJOR JUEGO QUE HE PODIDO VER EN MI CORTA VIDA* LOS PERSONAJES, EL MOVIMIENTO, LAS GRAFICAS Y POR LO TANTO LA VIOLENCIA* JAJAJA LO MEJOR!
